i have just been diagnosed with colorectal cancer (tuesday).. the consultant told me i am to get a scan to see how far it has spread.. i am going to have surgery to remove it, then chemotherapy with a break in the middle.. strange to say i am more terrified of dying under the anesthetic than anything.
but i have a fear of nausea and vomiting, which chemo caused in all my relatives who have had it.. any advice for coping with this?.

Chemotherapy is a scam. Blasting yourself with radiation to cure cancer is like setting yourself on fire to heal a burn. The only thing chemo will do is increase your chances of getting leukemia. I recommend you do alot of research on radiation, cancer, and chemo before you go through with this.
P.S Rather than smoke pot you should Eat candy (jolly ranchers) laced with hash oil. There's a lot research that suggest THC kills cancer cells.

Not going to argue over semantics. If she was dead this would not be an issue as the baby would also be dead. Since her body is still funcitonal and only her brain is dead, the state decided to wait until the child is born before they pull her off of life support. Why kill the child when it can be saved? If the dad doesn't want the child he can simply put it up for adoption. I don't see the controversy here.

The title of this thread is incorrect. The woman isn't dead (obviously) she's brain dead. The rest of her body is functional which means the baby is still alive and growing. The state of Texas doesn't want to pull the plug becasue that would kill the child which is still developing.

Is Russia any worst than China, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, or any of the other countries that uses slave labor? Is Russia any worst than the United States that constantly kills innocent civilvians in Pakistan and Yemen with drone strikes? Not to mention all the innocent lives that were lost in the illegal Iraq War (a war the UK supported). If we were to boycott ever country that had immoral, unethical, or intolereant pratices, than there would be maybe only 2 or 3 countries that would qualify for the olympics. Also China has a much worse record of human rights violations than Russia and they hosted the olympics in 2008.

Wow! Have you been following me? I spoke to her for the first time in years Saturday and yes she is bossy, but she made it clear that she won't marry me because I don't meet her list of requirments for her potential husband. I guess all these poineer sisters with elder dads are the same. I must admit there is a part of me that wants to go back to win her love, but she has no idea I've been inactive for 6 years and if she ever found out she would never speak to me again. Not to mention her parents would never approve of me.

What's better? To be conditionally loved by many, or to not be loved by anyone? Besides, i'm looking to make friends with faders and people in it for family, people who I understand and who understand me. People who I can support and who can support me. If I can just develope a nice circle of "spiritually weak" friends, I think my return would have been a success.

Right now I need some type of structure in my life. I need that feeling of hope, love, and the sense of belonging. I need to be around people who pratice a clean lifestyle. I was never able to find my place in the world after leaving the JWs. The truth is I fit in better with JWs than "worldy" people. I left intially because of doctrinal issues. Since I no longer believe in the Bible, those issues no longer matter.

I was a much better person as a witness. Although I no longer believe in the Bible, the atmosphere and positive association will help me become the person I use to be. My life is all negative now and I need something positive to balance it out. My time as a JW was the only time in my life when I had friends and was genuinely happy.
are we conscious after death?
if we don't understand why and how consciousness exsist now, how do we know it doesn't continue after death?
can consciousness survive the death of the body?
Consciousness is a consequence of synaptic activity in the brain. Once the neural electro-chemical responses stop so does consciousness.
If consciousness is just a chemical processes in our brain, why don't any other animals with brains have consciousness?
